Seacoast Foundation Jarkko Memorial Golf Tournament
by posted 09/16/2014

Dear Hampton Attack Families,

Paul Willis, CEO of Seacoast United asked me to pass this info along:

The Seacoast United Foundation is a non-profit wing of Seacoast United.  Their charter is to help spread charitable giving to the soccer communities of the Seacoast Area.  The following is a charity golf outing that funds scholarships provided to student athletes as they go to college.  Please give a read and consider playing some golf for a good cause.  If you have questions about the event, please contact Kathy Richard, who's email is on the Jarkko home page.

Paul Vogel

Dear Friends of Seacoast United Foundation:

I hope you are all well and enjoying the beautiful New England Fall.  Everyone is working hard at the Club and committed to providing more quality opportunities for children and adults, helping further our relationships within the Seacoast community.   Speaking of relationships, there was none better than the one we enjoyed with Jarkko and on Monday, September 29th the Seacoast United Foundation will host their 9th Annual Golf Tournament in his honor.

As many of you know, Seacoast United established the Jarkko Tuominen College Scholarship in 2006, primarily centered around the golf tournament in his name.  Jarkko was an employee of Nike Soccer and supported Seacoast United in his role with sales and sports marketing.  He was one of our biggest fans and those that knew him, and many of our players did, will never forget his smile or the way he treated people.  He died tragically after suffering a fall not long after his return to Oregon in 2005.  In 2009 the Club dedicated “Jarks Field” at the Epping Outdoor Complex in his honor.  The Seacoast United Foundation has awarded over 150 college scholarships at this event in Jarkko’s name and $21,000 was awarded to 19 recipients this Fall  http://www.seacoastunitedfoundation.org/foundation-awards-jarkko-tuominen-scholarship-to-19-students

Jarkko Tuominen Memorial Golf Tournament at The Ledges Golf Club, York, ME - 1pm on Monday, September 29th

Wegotsoccer has kindly agreed to be this year’s Title Sponsor and we hope you will be able to join us or even consider putting a twosome or foursome together.  The golf event includes lunch, dinner, all golf fees, prizes, contests and each golfer receives a beautiful Nike/SUSC piece of apparel and Nike golf balls.  All of the golf details can be found at  http://seacoastunitedfoundation.org/events/jarkko-tuominen-memorial-golf-tournament  including registration.

by posted 09/12/2014

Attack players,

SUSC Junior Academy is a great addition to you league play this winter.  It's a 1 night a week training program that focuses on individual footskills and tactics to help each player improve their own abilities.  Please read the description below and consider attending the tryout.

Seacoast United Junior Academy Program

Seacoast United Soccer Club is proud to announce the tryout dates for the Junior Academy Program for the upcoming 2014/15 season. Over the last few years many Hampton Attack players have had the benefit of being involved with the Junior Academy Program. This highly successful program is designed for children aged 7-14yrs, with an accelerated curriculum prioritizing skill development while nurturing a love for playing in a fun, competitive and age-appropriate environment. The level of play has increased within the Hampton Attack program as a result of the players receiving professional coaching from Seacoast United full-time coaches throughout the Winter months.

Tryouts for the 2014/15 Hampton JA will take place at the following times:

Tuesday 23rd September (Boys: 4:00-5:30pm, Girls: 5:30-7:00pm) & Thursday 25th September (Girls: 4:00-5:30pm, Boys: 5:30-7:00pm) – Tryouts held at Epping Outdoor Complex

Tryouts are $20 per player and all players receive an SUSC Nike T-shirt.  Pre-registration for the tryouts is highly recommended and online registration can be found on the Seacoast United website at the following link:

A parent information session will take place on Tuesday 23rd September at the tryouts to share the philosophy of the program and answer any questions people have.
